In 2003 I took a 5 day class in Breitenbush Hot
Springs featuring a painting technique
called process painting. During the workshop, I was creating large, bold paintings
using big strokes. On day 3 the teacher handed me the tiniest brush and asked me to use
that for the rest of the workshop. I stepped out of my comfort zone and realized the
connection to many things in my life.
I didn't paint for years but during the Covid pandemic I picked up a brush again and am
finding myself exploring several techniques and mediums in my studio. I always wondered
what I'd do once I retired and now I know! (Photo by Katie Clark.)
